Throughout the year the Payson Public Library assists other local organizations with the collection of specific items via "Drop Boxes" which are located inside the Library. If you have items that pertain to the following "collections", please remember to bring them with you when you visit the Library:

EYE GLASSES RECYCLED

Donate your old ones to the Payson Lions Club!

The Payson Lions Club is looking for used eyeglasses and glass cases. Over 153 million people around the world need eyeglasses, yet millions do not have access to this basic service. You can drop off your old eyeglasses at the Payson Public Library and help millions of people improve their sight and quality of life.

USED INK CARTRIDGES & CELL PHONES RECYCLED

Donate used items to the Payson Humane Society!

Help raise funds for the Payson Humane Society and help the environment, too! Drop off your used ink cartridges & old cell phones in the designated boxes at the Payson Public Library. For more information on this project, visit www.ckarecycleaid.com.

ST. VINCENT DePAUL FOOD BANK

Donate non-perishable food items to the Food Bank!

Donations are accepted at the Payson Public Library for the “Food Basket" (non-perishables only, please). All donations will go to the local St. Vincent DePaul Food Bank to serve those in the Payson area.

HELP PAYSON SUPPLY LINE SUPPORT OUR TROOPS

Donated items will be shipped to our troops overseas!

Donations to our troops serving overseas can be dropped off at the Payson Public Library. Please note: Items that can melt will not be shipped. For more information about this program, please contact Butch Klein at 928-474-6968 or Lud Kaftan at 928-474-6981.

Items that can be donated for shipping include: men’s and women’s socks, disposable cameras, gum, toothbrushes, toothpaste, hand and foot warmers (small packs), sun block, baby wipes, eye drops, foot powder, band-aids, soap, shampoo and conditioner (for men and women), multi-vitamins, writing paper or blank cards with small envelopes, chips (preferably in canister packaging like Pringles), cereal (package of 6 small boxes works great), packages of small individual boxes of raisins, fruit snacks, canned fruit, crackers, magazines, games, crossword puzzles, granola bars, beef jerky, Slim Jim, etc.
